Vincent, the Magosne - GWJ74
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Vincent, the Magosne
Game made for Godot Wild Jam 74, with the theme HAUNTED. The jam is 9 days, but I made this game in the last 4 days.
----------------------
TIPS:
- If an enemy charges and attacks you, move to the side towards the enemy's back. If you move back away it will just keep chasing you (and attack will probably hit).
- In the middle of a fight you can leave the room, summon Percival to heal you as many times as needed, then go back to the room to resume the fight. Enemies don't regenerate nor respawn, and don't cross doors.
KNOWN BUGS:
- When the enemies die, their bodies remain on screen until the smoke dissipates, instead of disappearing in the smoke
- If your familiar times out without an order (10 seconds), the despawning animation makes an AWFUL noise. I'm terribly sorry for that.
- Entering the mimic corridor should trigger a dialog:
- Vincent... Vincent...
- This sounds like my mother. But does not have the right accent. This mimic is disappointing, no how to say... disturbing. Do not play with the voice of my mother! She took care of me as a baby, she put baby powder. This is offensive to mommy.
It was written and voice-acted, I just forgot to place the trigger for it.

CONTROLS:
This game supports both left and right handed people.
WASD or Arrow keys -> walk
Space -> Jump
E or Enter -> Interact (except familiar)
Mouse click: fire spell, interact with familiar
Right click: summon familiar
When you summon your familiar, it will wait for an order for 10 seconds, and despawn. You can summon as many times as you want. If you give an order, it will despawn immediately and enter cooldown.
This is a first person shooter where you are Vincent, a sorcerer going to exorcise a house, with the help of Percival, his familiar.
