Farlandya - GWJ #72
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Farlandya is a game made for the Godot Wild Jam #72
This is an open world MMORPG. A bad one because I ended up not having time to write the quests and scatter items around. The code has support for 4 types of quests from an unlimited number of NPCs in parallel, and several items. But I only put one quest, two NPCs, and apples.
I'm uploading the game anyway as a slime hunting sandbox. You can walk around and explore the landscape. Ctrl+F10 hides the player and UI (for screenshots =p).
I didn't have time to put the accessibility menu in place, not edit your profile. But accessibility features which are always on:
- All UI with very high contrast (except in-game chat so not to be distracting)
- Enemy colors are written above their heads
- Lightning and VFX don't blink
- Controls for both hands active at the same time
- No jumpscare SFX/VFX
- Very important messages are in plain font, not the game font
Controls:
- WASD or arrows: Move
- Mouse: look and attack
- Shift: run
- Space: jump or glide
- E: Interact
- M: Map
---------------------------------
It's an MMORPG! For a game jam! (Now you've seen it. A bad MMO, but still an MMO!)
Open world:
And it's a BIG world:
Teleport system:
Slime enemies, normal at light, cursed at dark:
As is customary, you have level, experience points, level up, etc. All is in sync with your online account so if you log on a different PC it's all there!
